What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a winter production for adults with special needs. I am studying to add my theatre teaching credential to my resume and would love to get back into theatre. I'll see you at the auditions!
What’s been inspiring you recently?
Seeing my friends living their passion through their art. It inspires me to do the same.
Tell us a story from your childhood that illuminates who you are as an artist?
When I first started theatre a thousand years ago, my first role was stage manager for Arsenic and Old Lace. Nobody from my family came to watch the show...or any subsequent shows I did after that. They didn't think it was important as I wasn't onstage. I was heartbroken, but it made me appreciate EVERYONE in a production and how important we all our no matter what our roles. I value each member of the drama team. So you might see me giving everyone flowers on opening night. I'm healing my childhood trauma.
Who are or were your theatrical heroes?
Lea Salonga has been such an amazing inspiration for female Asian Americans like me. She has such a powerful voice and amazing presence.
What kind of theatre excites you?
All theatre excites me! I love the emotional ride I am taken on during a theatre experience.
Outside of a theatre, what’s your favorite hot spot in Orange County?
