Self Nominate to be a candidate for OCTG

​

Members of the OC Theatre Guild elect individuals to serve in Board Elect positions. Board Elect Members represent the membership by collaborating with the Board Council to help guide the Guild's governance, strategic direction and initiatives.

​

Board Elect Members serve an initial two-year term. At the conclusion of that term, they may be approved by the Board to serve one additional two-year term. After completing two consecutive terms, they must stand for election by the full membership to continue serving.

​

Board service requires an average commitment of 10–20 hours per month to fulfill governance, committee and Guild responsibilities. Once elected, all Board Members must be OCTG members in good standing. Only one executive staff member from an Organizational Member may serve on the Board of Directors at a time.

​Please note: The self-nomination period for the 2027 Board Elect cycle closes on August 29, 2026.​​

Full schedule for the 2026 election are:

• Nominees are invited to the Membership Meeting to introduce themselves on August 15, 2026.

• Self-nomination period ends Saturday, August 29, 2026.

• Voting opens September 20, 2026 and closes October 18, 2026.

• New Board Elect Members will be announced before the end of the year.

• New Board Elect Members will be expected to attend annual retreat Nov 8, 2026. 

• First monthly meeting of New Board Elects will be January 16, 2027.
