What inspires you as an artist?
All local theatre artists. We create something from virtually nothing. Connection from disconnection. It is important!

Who are or were your theatrical heroes?
Oh so many. Mark Rylance for his incredibly nuanced and inspired Broadway performances including "Jerusalem" and "Richard III," Jeff Daniels' performances in "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "God of Carnage," Cate Blanchett in "Streetcar Named Desire" and "Carol," everything done by Helen Mirren, and--of course--Kristin Chenoweth for representing short blonde women everywhere.

What kind of theatre excites you?
Intimate, powerful, dramatic theatrical experiences have a kind of cosmic pull for me. Musicals such as "Come from Away" and "Next to Normal" are also amazing.

Outside of a theatre, what’s your favorite hot spot in Orange County?
All dog beaches throughout the county!
