What inspires you as an artist?
Wanting to get back into theatre. Did a few plays at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and a few afterwards around Los Angeles before Covid. Benn falling back in love with acting and want to get back to doing plays on stage

Tell us a story from your childhood that illuminates who you are as an artist?
Growing up I did plays and made short films that I would act in with my friends. Started reading Shakespeare in High School after taking a Shakespeare class from there started reading various playwrights.

Sam Shepard, Tennessee Williams, David Mamet, Philip Seymoir Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Denzel Washington, Lawerence Fishburne, Sam Elliott,

What kind of theatre excites you?
True West, American Buffalo, Shakerspeare. Comedy, Drama. Realistic

What’s the craziest thing you have ever needed to do for theatre?
Decided to attend a 6 week summer course at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to see if I liked it was then offered a spot to study Acting there for two years.

Outside of a theatre, what’s your favorite hot spot in Orange County?
Salt Creek, Strands or Trestles if its not too crowded haha but usually Creek down at Gravels.

What surprises you the most about your role in the theatre community?
My ability to learn no matter where I am at. If its a quick audition or its just watching one from the audience. I always leave with some sort of new lesson.

What advice do you have for theatre artists just starting out in Orange County?
Find a local theatre and start taking classes to see if you like it. If you do keep studying and never stop. There's always something new to learn
