Spooky Season is Here! See What's on Stage This October.

Spooky season has arrived in Orange County!

We may still be enjoying sunshine and 80-degree afternoons, but that doesn't mean we can't get into the Halloween spirit. And our local theatres are ready to help, with a delightfully eerie mix of macabre musicals, murder, monsters, dark comedy, and a little theatrical magic.

This October, you can spend an evening with the delightfully strange Addams family at Cabrillo Playhouse or Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center, encounter a comedic take on the world's most famous vampire at Camino Real Playhouse, or explore darker corners of the American story with Assassins at Curtis Theatre. Prefer your horror with a side of musical mayhem? Bat Boy at The GEM Theatre, Sweeney Todd at Ophelia's Jump, and Ride the Cyclone at Phantom Projects offer plenty of wonderfully twisted entertainment.

There's magic and mystery beyond the monsters, too. South Coast Repertory invites audiences into the enchanted world of Into the Woods and the powerful story of Blind Runner. And if you're already looking ahead to November, Westminster Community Playhouse will keep the spooky season going with The Picture of Dorian Gray.

So grab a friend, plan a night out, and make supporting Orange County theatre part of your Halloween-season traditions. Our local artists are bringing these stories to life, and it's sure to be a magical evening (or afternoon) of theatre.
